Welcome To Vice Land's Blog
I definitely need to post more this year, today I bring you some shots from a recent shoot I did right before the 2015 year ended. I didn’t get to edit them right away due to the celebrating, I’m still recovering. So Grace came to me open to work with me, I’m always looking for new faces that will fit and feed my creative side. So I had to get my partner in crime and sister from another mother, Priceless. I tell you Hair and Makeup is a must and Priceless' creativity is endless. Since Priceless brought to my attention that Grace was a Hoop Dancer, we had her bring her game to the shoot. We did two different looks one towards using the lights from the hula hoop, and the next look was more of beauty shots with Gels. I’m definitely going to experiment with gels more, I like the look you can get with them.

Sometimes things come together all on their own, with a little patience, visions of what you want to accomplish come true.....
So I ran across this location about over a year ago, when scouting for places to shoot. I knew I wanted to shoot there, just didn't know with whom or when. I called several times to ask for permission but the response was, this place is private, and there was no trespassing. Photography is not a crime.

A few weeks ago I purchased wardrobe from Wild Lolita, that I wanted to use for that specific location. Again not thinking when I would do it. I've been working with Priceless for a year now and we come up with things on the fly or by just sharing ideas all the time. I can say she's my lifetime sister now. Then someone landed on time, Naida Black said, "Still dying to work with you two." That sparked my memory banks and I thought well she's perfect for this. I hit up Priceless and showed the team the location and wardrobe, in agreement, everyone said let's do this.
Priceless is so talented that I let her do her own thing. You should never get in the way of an artist. I can only imagine of what will come from her vision, but when she's done with her magic, is always like DAMN. She never fails....

We went to the location, in hopes to shoot and not get thrown out. I definitely didn't know what to expect from Naida, but she killed it, she gave it that powerful look that I envisioned. We all had tons of fun doing this. I even had a personal bodyguard, incase there was an audience.
Pictures got published in Xpressions Nov 2015 Issue and Surreal Beauty Boulevard of Dreams Issue #293 (different ones were submitted to each.) #TeamWork

This shoot was definitely fun and memorable. We scheduled to go to Salisbury Beach at the center in the evening. Even though we were running behind and the day looked like it wasn't going to co-operate with us we made it work. I think we got all the shots the bride to be had in mind. Thanks again for letting me be part of this special moment and congrats, can't wait for the wedding.

I'm falling behind with my photo shoot blogs, regardless I got to do a photo shoot with my good friends daughters. Not only did I get to capture the pictures he wanted for her surprised birthday we tricked her into not knowing what the shoot was for. I still don't know how we pulled it off. The cool thing was that after the photos were picked, they had poster sized prints at the birthday. That was cool to see pictures be printed that big. So the theme of her birthday was Paris and I was tasked with putting her in certain locations. I was nervous doing the compositions but they came out good. Take a look at a few pics from that day, fun family.....
This was a cool experience shooting with a different music artist, known him for a while, but never collaborated until now. Trying to capture the essence of his work and incorporate mines was fun.
